This has been well discussed on our Facebook group, you really need to join it! Most guys seem to say to wait it out a bit after signing up.

    Hey,

So with matched betting you are pretty much always laying, so you will be using the pink column.

The 1×2 just means the winner market of game. 1 refers to the first team to win. X refers to a draw, and 2 refers to the second team to win.

So for example if you see a match as I have linked in this comment.

St Helens are 1.25 to lay. The draw is 110 to lay. The Catalans Dragons are 6.60 to lay.

    Hope that makes sense?

Effective Strategies for Managing Mistakes in Matched Betting

    Hey,

I don’t think that should be an issue. If it’s not really an arb, then you shouldn’t worry too much. Also, you are just getting started so bookies should cut you some slack.

That should be fine. And as for the mistakes, don’t worry it happens!

I have many times backed a lay’ed different horses, even added an extra 0 to a lay stake!

Btw, I just started a Facebook group for everyone to talk all things matched betting! Feel free to join by clicking here!

    No worries!

Just always double and triple check stuff, especially in the early stages!

    Hi!

For that specific example, it was a bonus bet of $150 at odds of 5 if Im correct.

So you have won into your bookmaker a total of $150 x 5 = $750 return. Then deduct your stake as its not returned so we have $750-$150 = $600 won into your bookie account. And $487 lost at Betfair.

So your profits the difference of the two.

    That make sense?

    Hi Marcccc,

    Nice work man!

Its as easy as that isn’t it?

Well done and keep up the good work and make sure you keep your qualifying losses at a decent level.

    Cheers

Yeah, so many reload offers in MB are low-risk with positive expected values, so if you keep doing them over a period of time you’ll end up in the green.

The speculative offer you are referring to was one where the lay bet wasn’t possible. If done correctly, you can still lower the risk but it’s not as certain as some of the more regular offers.

    Hope this helps!

Hmm not 100% sure, but my guess is that it will be based on home address.

However, I wouldn’t worry too much as I know many people still do end up getting the bonuses.

When in doubt just give the bookies a call!
