in reply to: What does take SP mean on betfair open bets? #3306
Head up mate! It happens. I once placed a lay bet and added an extra zero to the stake and forgot about it! haha cost me tons of money!
in reply to: What does take SP mean on betfair open bets? #3273Thats ballsy mate! But if it works for you then good! I have always been to scared to lay before backing =)) I know in the UK there are lots of MBers who do that though, so could be good strategy!
PS
European domestic soccer starting soon should mean more reloads for us, will keep everyone informed!in reply to: What does take SP mean on betfair open bets? #3271You could try if you wanted to, although to be honest I have never done horse bets that way. I tend to stick to the classic back and lay on the spot just to be on the safe side! Just makes me feel more at ease!
in reply to: What does take SP mean on betfair open bets? #3269It basically means it will try and match your bet at Starting Price (SP), so the price of the selection at the off. A lot of bookies have something similar, where you can just bet on a SP price instead of any exact price.
in reply to: Unibet EPL Offer #3236This offer still has some time!
Just keep close eye on a daily basis on the market. Man City currently at 1.67 / 1.8 and next is Liverpool at 5 / 5.1 which is a bit high in terms of liability.in reply to: Best Way to FInd Matches? #3233Hey Steph
It can indeed be very annoying & frustrating. Best way really is to anticipate big sporting events where you think a lot of attraction will be present. Things like big soccer and footie games, weekend horse racing etc we know will have more money in it. Also closer to start times, then odds seem to be better!
Just keep being patient. Eventually you develop your own strategy which works.
Cheers
in reply to: Discussions for Saturday Horses #3218Plenty of 2nd / 3rd place refunds at Caulfield & Rosehill on Saturday!
– CrownBet
– PointsBet
– Neds
– SportsBetCombining these offers should almost guarantee us hitting at least one or two refunds!
in reply to: What Happens When a Horse Gets Scratched? #3171Hey John! Tennis rules differ per bookie so always be wary and read them! Horse racing, Willie is correct! Glad you smashing it, keep going!
in reply to: What happened at Pakenham #3166Yeah it can! It should never affect us too badly as all bets which are placed on races that get abandoned will be returned.
in reply to: What happened at Pakenham #3145Hey John,
Seems they had insane winds at Pakenham so they had to abandon all races after the first race! Can happen with horse racing if weather is too bad.
Great stuff! Keep it up!
Nice one! I have done the same and it has almost always worked! How are the horse refunds treating you? Let me know if you ever need help!
in reply to: Getting bets on remotely (away from home computer) #3098Hey John,
Yeah becareful with setting VPN to an IP which is overseas somewhere. Bookies do track IP addresses to ensure that an IP only gets a signup bonus once etc.
Hey John!
Just do whatever you can for now and take it slow. You will get there eventually! As said above, NRL & AFL can be good too. And soccer season starts soon enough, where we often get a few guaranteed offers for the Premier League etc!
Let us know how your Betfair app goes =)
